Let's keep this party going...

Jake recently wrote a letter to his sister in the Philippines. It has a cute little section about our boys:

"Speaking of my family...

My kids are the cutest. James is probably the smartest kid his age and can already add and subtract small numbers in his head. He is learning to sound out words and can figure out words if you encourage him not to give up. He still prefers to be fed and can't stand getting dirty.

Will still goes by Chomper. He is probably the cutest 2 year old I've ever seen and I've seen a bunch. He is very social and is developing a sense of humor. We try and steer him away from potty humor, but James (and yeah, me too) are a bad influence on him in that arena. He is talking like there's no tomorrow. Chomper is our budding athlete. He is obsessed with basketball, football, soccer and pretty much anything manly. I have to remind him that we don't shoot people with toy guns. He is a sensitive little guy too so you can't ever spank him and have to be careful not to yell at him or his big brown eyes well up with tears and he just starts crying and saying "you made me saaaaad". That is the most pitiful scene.

Tommy is on loan from heaven. Apparently he was one of Raphael's cherub models so we have to be extra careful not to mar his perfect features. He is all smiles. Anytime he sees me he just sends me a huge open-mouthed smile that melts my cold heart no matter how I am feeling. He loves to cuddle and get flirbuts on his neck and tummy. He is now a competent sitter-upper and recently started sitting himself up from being on the ground. He now gets onto his hands and knees and has made a few attempts at crawling. He is a little behind Clara who has been standing up to furniture for the last 4 months or so and is days away from walking but she is 3 weeks older than him so that's my excuse. Also she's a girl and he's not only a boy, but my boy."

Cute, huh?
